Autumn Term
WE Computer GroupTime of Lessons
Beginners class will start at 10 a.m until 11 am½ hr coffee breakMoving-on Group 11:30 a.m until 12:30 promptOur first meeting on Wednesday 12th September will be to get us back into the swing after a long summer break. The Group will, through these lessons, to support local charities and we have some money in the kitty so please highlight any deserving charity you might be aware of.

General discussion on what you plan to use your computer for .
This session is for those who feel they have little or no working knowledge of computing.
Moving-On 11-30 to 12-30
The summer has brought to a head the importance of anti-virus, anti-spyware and Spam control . Also Tiscali is transferring to Orange
We will discuss these problems and some options or solutions
Heather will show how to set up a Yahoo.es email account and Sylvia will cover opening a Gmail account

This really is a great opportunity for group members to gain experience from someone who has been in a photography environment during his working life. Bob is a skilled and amusing speaker and I know we will all benefit from his knowledge and tips,
Summer project
Those of you who have completed a summer project of a 3min slide show presentation using PhotoStory, please bring it in for us to share and enjoy. Copy it to a memory stick or burn on a CD.

Planned subjects.. Heather will cover Spamihilator, Barry Howe has agreed to impress us with his progress this summer with converting his LP music to WMA and MP3.
Heather has suggested a Month of WORD word processing, for both Beginners and Moving On. Because there are a lot of versions of WORD , then I would like some information on which version you are using. Hence the challenge is out to learn how to establish this piece of information! Post it to the HELP Forum. This is your homework for September as it will mean you know how to find out more about the programs and versions you are using PLUS use the HELP Forum When posting use the topic of WORD Processing please.
